Donald Sterling's Lawyer ",Sterling will expose NBA as a band of hypocrites"

Donald Sterling's lawyer Bobby Samini appeared on NBC's the Today show to discuss Sterling's change of heart to sell his team and to challenge NBA's lifetime ban on sterling .

The sale which appeared to be going through until Sterling vowed this week to fight against it .

Shelly Sterling , Donald Sterling's wife was able to sell the team without his consent after medical examination concluded Sterling had Alzheimer's disease and was declared mentally incapacitated to make any financial decisions regarding the LA Clippers

However Sterling's Lawyer told Matt Lauer that eventhough Sterling was diagnosed with Alzheimer's he is still of sound mind .

“Matt I know you’ve spoken to him,” . “I’ve spent a fair amount of time with Donald Sterling. There is no issue with his mental capacity.”

Samini also shifted his focus on discrimination cases filed against the NBA in the last few years , which includes a 2007 case settled by Isiah Thomas and the NY Knicks Sa

Samini went on to issue threats to expose NBA as a band of hypocrites

“If you’re going to come after Sterling maybe it’s time for the NBA to take a close reflection on their own conduct,” “They seem to think gender discrimination is OK.”

“But again I think the bigger issue is that my client is out to clear his name and he’s going to basically expose the NBA for what it is — it’s a band of hypocrites.”
