According to a report from Chris Mortensen of ESPN, Romo was diagnosed with a herniated disc and will need surgery. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Romo will miss Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Eagles and will be out for the playoffs .
Jason Garrett refutes that any decision has been made and will continue to assess the situation calling Romo day to day and would like to see Romo practice before he makes any decision . If Romo is unavailaible for Sunday's game backup QB Kyle Orton will start in his place .
