Tracy McGrady announces retirement from NBA
The two-time NBA scoring champion averaged 19.6 points over the course of his 16-year NBA career before announcing his retirement on ESPN's "Fist Take" monday morning
.McGrady didn't play last regular season, but joined the San Antonio Spurs for their playoff run to the NBA Finals. The 34-year-old appeared in six postseason games, not scoring a single point while getting just over five minutes of action per game.
McGrady was drafted No. 9 overall out of high school by the Toronto Raptors in the 1997 NBA Draft. After three seasons in Toronto, Mcgrady turned into one of the league's top scorers with the Orlando Magic. McGrady led the league in scoring with 32.1 points per game in 2002-03 and then won the crown again with a scoring average of 28.0 points per game the following year.
Mcgrady was regarding as one of the best in his generation at his peak he averaged 32 ppg , even with his postseason failures , Mcgrady is a shoe-in for the hall of fame .
